Leaving your dog behind while you go on vacation can be stressful. From finding adequate pet care, to watching their sad eyes as you pack your bags, it can be a hard time for the whole family. Here at Kuma K9 Academy, we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality pet care in town. Your dogs will be showered with love, affection, and thrive with our pet sitting programs.
Whether your pup needs a midday break while you're at work or overnight care during a trip, we are here for you.
What Happens At A Visit?
First things first, we ensure your home's safety and make sure all doors and windows are locked and undamaged. Safety is our number one Priority at Kuma K9 Academy, and we want our clients to feel comfortable leaving their home in our hands. Does your dog need medications? No worries! Shyama is well trained and has multiple years of experience administering medications to dogs with varying temperaments. Whether your dog needs pills, topical medications, or injections, we can get the job done as comfortably as possible!
Each Dog Walking Visit is approx. 20-30 minutes long, and we do the following:
- Take Dogs on up to 20 minute walk
- Refill Food (if needed) and water bowls
- Ensure there's no accidents and clean them up if so
- Play time and LOTS of attention
If your family is going out of town, we also do the following at each visit for no extra cost:
- Bring in mail and packages
- Water Plants if Needed
- Turn lights on and off
- Bring trash to curb
Dog Walking/Sitting Prices:
Each visit is approx. 20-30 minutes
$25 for first dog
$5 each additional dog
Most vacation clients prefer overnight pet care (see below) but some clients like 2 - 3 visits a day to walk and feed their dogs when they're gone.
Dog Overnight Prices:
Some clients prefer us to spend the night with their puppies for extra love. We stay a minimum of 12 hours from 8:00PM - 8:00AM but can sometimes enter the home earlier and stay a bit longer.
$65 per night
$3 per additional dog
Dog In-Home Boarding Prices:
With this option, your dog comes and hangs out with us for the duration of your trip.* This is great for families leaving longer than a few days, or that aren't comfortable with someone staying in their home. It's also a great option for puppies that may need to go out more often than an adult or senior dog.
$70 per night for first dog
$15 each additional dog
We also offer the option of train and stay. We help teach your dog some basics like leash manners, crate training, basic obedience and more. If there are areas of training that you'd like to improve with your dog, just let us know and we can help jump start that for you while you're out of town. **
$15 per dog on top of nightly rate
* Dogs must pass a temperament evaluation, and be friendly with dogs and cats to qualify for in-home boarding.
** This is not a board and train program, and typically there will not be enough time for a dog to become proficient in any advanced skills. However, 4-7 days is enough to teach some basics or kickstart crate training, leash reactivity, or potty training.

*Dogs must pass a temperament evaluation and have training basics for excursions
